Theresa Nguyen is an associate attorney of Ortiz & Gosalia, PLLC. Mrs. Nguyen provides legal services in the areas of, Tax Controversy, Business Planning, Immigration, Real Estate, Probate and Estate Planning. Prior to joining Ortiz & Gosalia, PLLC, Mrs. Nguyen owned her own solo-practitioner firm, The Law Office of Theresa Nguyen, PLLC, located in Renton, Washington. She currently is an Attorney at the Federal Tax Clinic at the University of Washington, defending low-income individuals with their tax debt before the Internal Revenue Service.
Prior to obtaining her Juris Doctorate, Mrs. Nguyen obtained a degree in Business Administration (B.A.) with a concentration in Business Management. During her studies at Seattle University, Mrs. Nguyen participated in the Albers School of Business and Economics, Business Plan Competitions and the Keiretsu Forum of Angel Investors. Through this program, Mrs. Nguyen assisted small business owners draft and review business plans and acquire funding from angel investors to launch their businesses.
Mrs. Nguyen obtained her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Nova Southeastern University, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mrs. Nguyen served as Treasurer on Board of The Association of Business Students and as Associate Managing Editor for the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law. Mrs. Nguyen worked as a legal intern for the Law Office of Maryann Di Re, a family law firm, in Tacoma, Washington in 2012.
Mrs. Nguyen obtained her Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation at the University of Washington. During her studies at the University of Washington, Mrs. Nguyen represented low-income taxpayers before the IRS at the UW Federal Tax Clinic. Mrs. Nguyen is bilingual in Vietnamese and English.
